A little about me

I've been doodling on the margins since I could hold a crayon.

I'm June — a Korean-American motion designer and illustrator based in rainy, wonderful Portland. I studied animation, fell hard for the moment a flat drawing takes its first breath, and never looked back.

My favorite briefs are the ones with room to be weird. I believe playful doesn't mean unserious — a well-timed bounce, a character with a real personality, a color palette that dares you not to smile: that's strategy you can feel. I work fast, I over-communicate, and I make the revision rounds actually fun.

  • Currently booking projects for late 2026
  • Tools After Effects, Procreate, Blender, Figma, Rive
  • Loves squash & stretch, risograph, cozy games
  • Based Portland, OR — working worldwide

How to hire me

Pick a flavor, or mix your own

Every project is custom, but most of what I do falls into these buckets. Not sure? Just say hi and we'll figure it out.

Motion Design

Explainer loops, logo animations, title sequences, social clips. Storyboard to final render, sound-friendly and pixel-perfect.

Illustration

Characters, spot art, sticker packs, editorial, and full illustrated worlds. Bold outlines and colors that carry across everything.

Game Art

Character design, sprites, UI, and juicy in-game animation for indie teams. I speak both "art" and "does this ship on time."

Brand Systems

Mascots, animated logos, and a whole moving identity kit so your brand looks alive everywhere — not just on the homepage.

How working together goes

  1. 1

    Say hi

Tell me about the project, timeline and rough budget. I reply within a day.

  2. 2

    Plan & sketch

We lock scope, then I send moodboards and rough directions to react to.

  3. 3

    Make it move

I animate and illustrate in shareable checkpoints — no black-box surprises.

  4. 4

    Ship & celebrate

Final files, exports in every format you need, and a little happy dance.

— Marco T., Studio Director, indie games

"She gets 'playful but premium' in a way almost nobody does. Every deliverable felt like a gift we couldn't wait to open."

— Priya N., Founder, plant shop
